Sacramento Republic F.C. will face off against the visiting Oklahoma City Energy F.C. this Thursday night at Bonney Field in a game that will have postseason implications. The Republic F.C. (16-6-4) is fighting with the Richmond Kickers for the second seed in the playoffs and a victory against the Energy F.C. will secure the spot. Oklahoma City (8-13-5) has lost their last five games and will need to defeat Sacramento and a win on the road against the Orange County Blues Saturday night if they want a chance at obtaining the final playoff spot. So expect a wild and exciting game tonight when these two teams take to the pitch tonight.

Oklahoma City has won the first two games of the four game series against Sacramento with two shutout victories against Sacramento earlier this season. But the Republic won their last meeting at home on August 9th 2-1 which ironically began a five game losing streak that has hamstrung the Energy. Sacramento will be led into the game by the three headed scoring behemoth of Rodrigo Lopez (9 goals), Tommy Stewart (11 goals) and Adam Jahn (6 goals) along with Jake Gleeson in front of the net (averaging 0.977 goals allowed per game along with 5 shutouts). Forward Kyle Greig (8 goals) and midfielder Michael Thomas (5 goals) will lead the charge for Oklahoma City as they will try to come up with a scoring scheme that'll give them some kind of chance against the red hot Republic.

Tonight's theme will be SMUD Presents The 80's nights and fans are encouraged to wear attire from that decade. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 P.M. kickoff and it will be available online at Matchday and via Twitter for all of the latest news and updates throughout the game. Saturday night's final game of the regular season against the L.A. Galaxy II is sold out and the game time has been pushed back to 8:00 P.M.
