E! cites a law enforcement source who alleges that just prior to Za leaving the facility he became angry, yelled, and then proceeded to destroy the phone.

Hollywood Life reports it was told by Lost Hills Sheriff Station Lt. Michael Williams that “Zavier Smith was additionally charged with an incident that resulted in felony vandalism concerning a phone located in the holding cell this afternoon at the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.”

According to TMZ, Za was in the process of being re-booked into the facility for the incident.

E! reports that Za was initially arrested on Tuesday morning over alleged felony drug possession after police searched Bieber’s home following a neighbor claiming the singer had done damage to his house in an egging incident.

The neighbor told authorities he saw Bieber throwing eggs at the residence, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Chicago Tribune notes that the drugs seized at Bieber’s home may not have been cocaine, but rather ecstacy, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Officials.
