Since I heard the strange rumbling sounds in the skies over Hamilton, Ontario last week, as well as one by Paul Shishis of Oshawa, reports of similar sounds continue to roll in.
Many residents of Sooke on Vancouver Island reported strange rumbling sounds over a 48-hour period beginning on January 25, 2012. Once Sooke homeowner noted a sound “like a freight train coming, that rumbled and it was very brief.”
Most folks were frightened and thought there was an earthquake or that the sounds were related to blasting at a local construction site. However, both of these possibilities have since been ruled out.
Meanwhile, CTV News out of Regina has reported similar experiences by residents of Battleford, Saskatchewan. Jean-Pierre St. Maurice, a professor at the University of Saskatchewan said people are likely “picking up noise from an electrical antenna… That is eletromagnetic noise.”
Folks around the world have been reporting strange and unexplainable sounds. While some are undoubtedly hoaxes with people using background sounds in their videos the replicate the phenomenon, it is likely that most are just ordinary people who have heard the sounds and are left mystified.
Some of the theories as to the cause include military experiments, electromagnetic sounds created by the recent solar storms, work or goings on in underground tunnels, a prelude to the apocalypse, sounds created by High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) and a musical instrument called a waterphone.
