Reports: Casey Wilson and Michaela Watkins fired from SNL (video)

According to reports, both Casey Wilson and Michaela Watkins have been cut from the new ‘Saturday Night Live’ lineup this fall.

On Friday, Michaela Watkins’ publicist confirmed that her contract with SNL was not renewed, however, NBC declined to comment, according to the Houston Chronicle.

In an interview with Michael Ausiello, Watkins said she felt “shock” and “sadness” when producer Lorne Michaels gave her the news.

Watkins played several memorable characters including Angie Tempura, creator of the movie review blog 'Bitch Pleeze.'

The Website The Comic’s Comic is reporting that Casey Wilson has also been dropped from the SNL cast. Wilson’s agent did not return phone and email inquiries from the Chronicle.

Wilson played various characters including actress Jennifer Aniston, Food Network's Rachael Ray, and was a regular cougar in the "Cougar's Den."

Watkins became a featured member of the cast last fall and Wilson joined the cast in 2008 shortly after the writer’s strike.

Two new females, Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad, will be joining the cast this fall.

The new season of SNL begins Sept. 26, with guest host Megan Fox.
