Sting's contract with TNA has expired and he is officially a free agent. Many are wondering if the talks of him going to WWE will finally end up being true, and they do seem stronger than ever this year. Some are wondering if it will be just for the Hall of Fame or maybe a "Legends" deal, but Bleacher Report stated on Feb. 1, 2014, that he could actually end up being the general manager of "Monday Night Raw."
The famed wrestler hasn't actually signed with the company, but many say a deal is imminent. It appears as if the current, and tentative, plan is to make him the General Manager of "Raw."
F4W Newsletter states:
"The feeling is that he (Sting) won't be rushed into a match at WrestleMania, and we're told the working idea right now is for him to perhaps be the new Raw General Manager."
Currently, Brad Maddox is the GM of the Monday night show, but switching him out for Sting wouldn't be anything that fans would have a problem with.
Anything is still possible though, and Sting has not put his name down on the dotted line. Reports have had him very close to signing with WWE in the past and nothing ever ended up happening, but it's never seemed this close.
