Following the injury to Jacoby Jones during the 49-27 loss to Denver on Thursday, the Ravens front office knew that they needed help in the return game. Turns out the Ravens would turn to an old friend for a little help. The team announced on Monday that they have resigned WR Tandon Doss after releasing him almost 2 weeks ago. The move shouldn't come as a surprise as Doss was a viable option in the return game prior to his release.
Doss became expendable after the emergence of rookies Aaron Mellette and Marlon Brown. It's fair to assume that Doss won't see the field much as a receiver but will most likely be immediately placed as the Ravens return man until Jacoby Jones returns from the knee sprain he suffered on Thursday.
To make room for the move, Baltimore released LB Robert James. The Ravens also plan on working out TE Jake Ballard on Monday as well.
