Delanie Walker announced on his Twitter to his aunt and uncle, Alice and Bryan Young were killed by an alleged drunk driver after the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
"Im going to miss y'all but i know they are in a better place."
Walker also attached a picture of himself with his uncle and aunt during a Saturday practice at the Superdome.
According to a report by WWL-TV, Nechole Thomas, 26, of Houston, struck the Youngs' car from behind on the shoulder of Interstate 10 in St. Charles Parish at 5:30 a.m. Thomas ended up escaping her car before the car burst into flames. She was arrested on two counts of vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated, according to WWL-TV.
Walker finished his seventh season with the 49ers with three receptions for 48 yards in Sunday’s 34-31 loss in the Super Bowl to the Baltimore Ravens. He will be an unrestricted free agent.

49er general manager Trent Baalke also released the following statement:
“We extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Delanie and his family as they grieve this tragedy. Our organization is here to support Delanie through this tough time, as we do with all of our players and staff. At this time, we will respect their family’s privacy and ask others to do so as well.”
