In an interview with GameZone published today, Steve Downes the voice of Master Chief, has commented on when we should expect more Halo to hit our consoles.

"I think you may be ahead of yourself on Halo 5," Downes reportedly tells GameZone. "I wouldn't expect anything until 2015.

"What you can look forward to this year is an anniversary edition of Halo 2."

Halo Anniversary released ten years after Halo: Combat Evolved's launch on the original Xbox to moderate success. With the recent trend of HD remakes, including the just released Fable Anniversary, it wouldn't come as a surprise to see Microsoft return to their flagship franchise.

Downes did not comment on launch platforms or whether Certain Affinity or 343 Industries is the team behind the title.

For years rumors have been circulating regarding Halo 2 Anniversary but only time will tell if we'll truly see the game release.
