According to a report from RadarOnline.com on Thursday, Jan. 10, the real reason that Selena Gomez decided to part ways with her superstar boyfriend Justin Bieber was because he was simply too needy.
At the end of December, Gomez and Bieber were vacationing together in Mexico when the final breakup appeared to happen.
“Justin is super needy and can be a big baby around Selena,” a source close to the 20-year old star claimed. “It’s hard for him to make real friends because he likes the temporary attention of strangers, but didn’t realize how it hurt Selena.”
Bieber has appeared to be very friendly in public while away from Gomez, as evidenced by reports of him getting close to Victoria’s Secret model Barbara Palvin. Such actions only appeared to turn Gomez away.
“Selena didn’t feel Justin was respectful of their relationship,” the source continued. “She was constantly catching him in positions with other girls that would make her uncomfortable. She would get super jealous.”
The couple was a favorite amongst fans, but perhaps the slight age different, Selena is two years Justin’s senior, helped to create a rift.
“Selena is Justin’s first love and he’s still young enough that he desperately tries to make it work. But Selena is mature enough to just know when to end it and be realistic that it isn’t working.
They’re both better off to just move on and go their separate ways.”
Still, the insider revealed that Gomez isn’t completely over Bieber.
“Selena absolutely won’t get back with Justin unless he makes some drastic changes in his life,” the friend stated.
