Report: Sals' Reeder commits to Penn State

Salesianum School football and lacrosse standout Troy Reeder has verbally committed to Penn State, according to various media sources. Penn State football coach Bill O'Brien was at the Wilmington school last week. He also made a stop at Middletown High School while in Delaware.

Most recruiting services rank Reeder as a three-star prospect, the Harrisburg Patriot-News says. "Reeder already checks in at a solid 6-2, 230 pounds with a 300-pound bench, 465-pound squat and 4.65 speed," the newspaper reported.

Reeder spent last season as a linebacker on defense and a fullback on offense. He previously had been the Sals' starting quarterback. In addition to football, he is a Division I-caliber lacrosse player and a top student.
