If that one hundred dollar price-gap between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One was a little to steep for you, it appears that Microsoft might be making a big move to help lessen the effect of that. CVG is reporting today, that a source has informed them of the companies plan to include a "major game" (worth $60) with each Xbox One console sold in Europe, and what we would assume would also include the rest of the world.
The game itself was not named, but this deal has reportedly cost Microsoft millions in their budget which continues to rise as they attempt to give their console more value. The "unique Xbox One exclusive" is apparently the title that the company is saving for reveal at Gamescom.
While Microsoft is certainly interested in narrowing that price-gap, they've proven that they want to add value, not just decrease the price itself. Their recent decision to keep Kinect bundled despite the fact that it is no longer required anymore is proof of that. The company has done a lot of listening to their fans as it also gave in ans added a headset to each bundle, something people were clamoring for.
With Gamescom only two days away, the wait isn't that much longer to find out if these details are legitimate. Regardless, we're certainly expecting Microsoft and Sony to announce the release date of their respective consoles.
