Paul McCartney will play two intimate theater gigs in London and Liverpool for the Christmas holidays, according to various British newspaper reports Monday.
The Press Association doesn't list dates, but the the UK Sun says he'll play Dec. 18 at London's Hammersmith Odeon and Dec. 20 at the Liverpool 02 Academy.
"Christmas is the perfect excuse for everyone to let their hair down and rock out. We are looking forward to celebrating with the people of London and Liverpool," he was quoted by the UK Sun, which said tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. local time tomorrow.
""I always love playing to a home audience and for me it's the perfect way to end the year. We've had great fun with the stadium shows this year and we're looking forward to the more intimate vibe of these ones," he was quoted by the Press Assocation.
There's been no official word of the shows on Paul McCartney's website.
In a recent story, we'd reported here that we'd heard that Paul might be playing outside of the U.S. and possibly in the UK for Christmas.
