Two new logos were unveiled for Super Bowl 50 on Wednesday afternoon. Rather than having Roman numerals like in the past, the Super Bowl will be known as "Super Bowl 50" rather than "Super Bowl L."

It will be the golden anniversary of the Super Bowl as Levi's Stadium won the bid to host last year. The primary logo has the Lombardi Trophy with a golden "50" in the background without Roman numerals.

The regional logo of Super Bowl 50 features a backdrop of scenic landmarks from San Francisco which includes the Golden Gate Bridge, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, San Francisco Ferry Building, Coit Tower, Transamerica Pyramid and redwood trees from the Muir Woods National Monument within a golden "50". The front of the logo has the same generic template since Super Bowl XLV where there is a Lombardi trophy and an outline of the host's stadium in silver sans the roman numerals. In this case, Levi's Stadium is shown behind the Lombardi Trophy.

When Super Bowl 50 occurs, it will be the second full season of Levi's Stadium as the 49ers home. Super Bowl 50 will be played on February 7, 2016. Super Bowl XLIX will be in Glendale, Arizona for the 2014 NFL Season.
