Everything isn’t as straightforward as Bayern Munich would lead you to believe regarding Toni Kroos, it seems.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Kroos intends on joining Manchester United, but has been rejected by chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. And he’s gone as far as to let his teammates know of his wishes.

Of course, those on the English side are hoping that these talks continue to break down. Then, if nothing has been sorted out, perhaps Bayern Munich would listen to a bid instead of letting the player potentially walk on a free transfer some time later.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich will face off later today in the Champions League quarterfinal.

Bayern, the second-leg hosts, hold a 1-1 away goal advantage and will be looking to preserve that in front of their home fans.
