Report: Justin Bieber team grilling security over leaked party photos

A day after controversial photos of Justin Bieber hit the web, the singer tweeted an apology to his fans, writing he is “Trying to be better” and noting,“ I never want to let any of you down.”

According to a Jan. 6, 2013 US magazine report, the singer’s team is very interested in finding out who leaked the photos posted by TMZ and is grilling security for answers.

In the images, believed to have been taken on Jan. 2, the singer is seen partying at a Newport Beach hotel and smoking what appears to be weed.

US reports, the superstar’s manager, Scooter Braun, has gone to great lengths to maintain a “squeaky clean image” for his client and has said he holds Bieber, 18, to a very “high standard” when it comes to his behavior.

The leaked photos came under even more scrutiny than they normally would have, because just the day before, a paparazzo was killed while trying to snap a photo of Bieber’s white Ferrari.

The singer was reportedly not in the vehicle when the incident took place. Instead, his best friend and fellow party-goer, rapper Lil Twist, is said to have been in the sports car.

The photographer was hit by another car when he exited his vehicle on a busy Los Angeles street to try and get a shot of the Ferrari.

After the tragic accident, Bieber tweeted condolences to the man’s family, saying his “thoughts and prayers” were with them.
