Report has Sony slating ‘Driveclub’ for a June release for the PS4

A report from Official PlayStation Magazine has PS4 exclusive racer Driveclub slated for a June launch, according to a report today from VG 24/7.

The report comes from the OPM Facebook page, in which the magazine hinted at Sony dropping the game in June due to a “hunch.”

“We like the "hunch" that #Driveclub will arrive in June, but you do not tell anyone,” the post, translated from Italian, said.

The post comes just a few days after a Sony representative told IGN that the Evolution Studios team was “working hard to bring Driveclub” to the PS4 and a release date would be announced shortly.

“We’re really excited about how Driveclub is progressing and thank you for your patience,” the Sony representative said.

In October Sony announced the game would be delayed from its intended release date, in November alongside the PS4 launch, to give the design team more time to make the Driveclub’s visual and overall experience better.

In the post to the PlayStation blog, Sony expressed disappointment in the Driveclub delay, which followed the delay of other anticipated launch titles like Watch Dogs and The Crew, but said it would join a strong slate of games releasing after the PS4 launch.
