Jim Harbaugh confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that NaVorro Bowman has a torn ACL and will have to wait until a status on the MCL is certain in order for surgery to happen. If the MCL ligament is torn, he could wait even longer.

Bowman tore his ACL after a collision in an attempt to tackle Jermaine Kearse. The linebacker stripped the ball away, but fell awkwardly which forced him to be carted off the field.

The 49ers linebacker became a Pro Bowler for the second straight year in a row and became an All-Pro selection for the third consecutive season.

Meanwhile, Harbaugh said that Mike Iupati will not need surgery on his left ankle. In the second quarter after Anthony Dixon leaped over the line for a short one-yard touchdown, Iupati fell took a tough landing on his leg. The two-time Pro Bowl guard will be casted, according to Harbaugh.

Harbaugh also said he wasn't aware of Frank Gore's hand injury until after the game. The 49ers running back broke his right ring finger against Seattle, but played through the injury during the entire game.

Gore was not on the field for the final five offensive plays, but Harbaugh said his injury was not the reason for him being off the field. He will have surgery today, according to the Lefty's Sports Cards memorabilia shop.
