The controversial 'Million Muslim March' held in Washington, D.C. today was renamed to the Million American March Against Fear by the organizers, the American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC) in order to draw more support, but the effort flopped.
NBC Washington reported that the group is "demanding new laws to protect their First Amendment rights."
Their message must not have resonated, however, as it was also reported that,
About 25 people -- including activist Cornel West -- were at the march as of 12:30 p.m. [emphasis added]
The Huffington Post puts the number much higher, at "a few hundred," but did not post photos. The NBC article also said according to News4's Mark Segraves, Christian protesters "were yelling to the Muslim attendees" and "several are displaying signs with messages such as 'Muhammad is a liar,'" but also reported that it is "not yet clear whether they are from a specific church or organization."
It seems strange that the journalist on the scene did not bother to ask the protesters with whom they were affiliated.
Not surprisingly, photos of those evil "Christian" protesters were nowhere to be found.
The '2 Million Bikers to DC' rally, in contrast, also being held in Washington, D.C. today has been overwhelmed by supporters, and as reported by the Examiner today, the photos pouring in from the event illustrate that the group was a bit closer to their goal.
