"In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, 2 and saying “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” (Matthew 3:1-2)

People are making choices and decisions. These choices and decisions could be good or bad. This depends on who is judging. There are laws, rules, and guidelines that guide behavior in society. Various aspects of society have them, and the expectation is for them to be followed. If people are not following these expectations, then they are expected to change making alignment.

God has laws and outlines them in His Holy Bible. People break theses laws. This is called sin. Believers’ in Christ Jesus are asked to change from sin to God’s way of righteousness. Repentance is expected from them. This is a change in direction of going the wrong way to God’s way with the help of the Holy Spirit. Believers’ repent and show it in their behavior. This attitude of change spans a lifetime as God is working in a person’s life.

Challenge: Believer, make the change to the lifestyle of repentance. God has this expectation for His children that are in His kingdom and are going to heaven.
