Rep. Michelle Bachmann to speak at CT Liberty Forum

From Rick Green at Couran.Com

The local political scene only gets better with news that the always entertaining U.S. Rep. Michelle Bachmann will be the keynote speaker at the Connecticut Liberty Forum's annual meeting in Windsor Locks on Oct. 17. Liberty folks say:

Congresswoman Bachmann has been cast as a somewhat controversial public figure for her recent stand in questioning federal treasury officials about whether their actions, indeed, are Constitutional. Congresswoman Bachmann is expected to give the keynote speech addressing the recent actions of Congress and the executive branch in resolving the current economic crisis.

Bachmann -- the rightwinger liberals love to hate -- has recently come under fire for her comments about the U.S. Census. Bachman lately has been warning about the danger of a "one world currency." Last week, she wrote to President Obama asking that he block federal funding for the organizing group ACORN. Bachman, who often appears on cable news shows, is also an opponent of same sex marriage.

The ticket for her speech costs $25.
