Classic rockers REO Speedwagon will make their way to Altoona's Prairie Meadows Casino (1 Prairie Meadows Drive) on Friday, February 15. The show starts at 8 p.m., and it is a 21-and-over event. Tickets for the concert range from $44 to $84 (plus taxes and fees), and they are available online through Ticketmaster.
The pride of Champaign, Illinois, REO Speedwagon rose to prominence in the late 1970's before dominating the 1980's. The band has had 12 different albums classified as gold, platinum, or multi-platinum, including the 1980 smash Hi Infidelity that sold over 14 million copies worldwide. REO Speedwagon has had twenty-one Top 40 hits, including the #1 singles "Keep on Loving You" and "Can't Fight This Feeling".
REO Speedwagon has not slowed down, despite being around for almost 45 years. The band released seven compilation albums, four live albums, a Christmas album, a studio album, and eight concert videos.
