“The art of healing comes from nature, not from the physician. Therefore the physician must start from nature, with an open mind.” ~Paracelsus

An open mind is precisely what is needed when one considers the possibility of miraculous healing channeled through John of God (João Teixeira de Faria). As a medium with extraordinary abilities John of God is dedicated to the healing of others as directed by the spirit entities that work through him.

Possessing a commanding stature with a gentle dignity and sensitivity born out of humility, for 43 years John of God has served as the channel for over 30 spirit entities who perform healing for the thousands every week who visit him at his center, the Casa de Dom Inácio de Loyola in Abadiânia, Brazil.

According to interview interpretation, John of God who only speaks Portuguese says, “As a spiritual medium, his body incorporates the spirits of deceased healers. These healers -- whom John of God calls “entities” -- are the ones performing the surgeries,” he says.

“The healing entities who work through John of God are the spirits of deceased doctors, surgeons, masters and saints, each one, exceptional people during life on earth. As a full trance medium, the spirit Entity incorporates into his physical body so completely, during the sessions, that John of God has no recall of the work performed through him.”

Described as “an immaculate example of generosity and charity” every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning and afternoon, John of God, holds a free clinic for anyone who wants to attend.
The healing process at the center is as follows:

  1. During clinic time, a long line of people wait to present themselves to John of God.
  2. While all who attend the clinic are given the opportunity to participate in the healing sessions, it is the choice of the individual whether they wish to have a visible or invisible treatment.
  3. Next, the line goes through the Cleansing room where you can sit and meditate while a clinic medium reads scripture and prays. Here you can be generally cleansed and prepared for your treatments with John of God.
  4. Next is the Current room. It gets its name from the palpable healing current that’s generated by John of God himself. This healing current augments the powers of John of God. At one end of the room, John of God sits and treats each person as they present in the queue.
  5. He will assess your state of health and then recommend one or more of a series of options – sit in current, come back when a more appropriate entity is present, take herbs or have a series of crystal light bed treatments.

Herbs can be purchased for roughly $70.00-$90.00 according to your specific ailment. However, if you are not able to travel to Brazil, distant healing is available. Self-help author and motivational speaker, Wayne Dyer is one of many who have experienced distant spiritual surgery through John of God.

Dr. Wayne Dyer was diagnosed with Leukemia and planned a visit to Brazil to meet with John of God. Mr. Dyer was unable to make the trip, but his friend Rayna went instead. Once at the center, it was requested that photos be taken of Mr. Dyer, only displaying his body from the waist up. This photo is used in conjunction with herbs that are to be taken before the (distant) surgery takes place.

Here is an excerpt from Wayne Dyer’s distant healing spiritual surgery with John of God:
“It’s really hard to put all of that stuff into words, because the experiences simply defy words. But here goes (laughs)."

"I don’t know how you do surgery on leukemia, because it’s just a blood disease, but she said that’s what they call it. So, I went to bed at 11 o’clock at night. I did everything I was supposed to. I was dressed in white; I ate the foods I was supposed to eat; I avoided the ones I wasn’t supposed to eat. I had a big pitcher of blessed water that Rayna had sent up to me from Brazil. I set my intentions, I went to sleep, and I woke up the next morning — at what I thought was seven o’clock — when my friend called me from the airport and said, “Well, so how did it go?”

"She was giving me a hard time, and I said, “Well, it’s only seven o’clock.” She said, “No, it’s not seven o’clock; it’s 8:20.” I said, “No, no, it’s seven o’clock.” I’ve got this watch that is guaranteed to never lose or gain a second, literally. But my watch had stopped for 80 minutes during the night. So that was the first thing that I thought was weird. Then I came out into the kitchen, and my son and my daughter looked at me and said, “What happened to your eye?” It looked like someone had gone into my eye and just scraped my eye during the night — it was all bright. It just itched, nothing hurt. I was so peaceful, so content, and I just stood there and said, “I don’t know. I just never have felt better in my life.” This interview can be read in its entirety at

Since the spiritual surgery, Wayne Dyer has declared that he is “well and in perfect health.”

For those considering this modality of spiritual healing, or simply remain curious, you need not travel to Brazil.

John of God will visit The Omega Institute in Rhineback, New York on September 30, 2014 – October 02, 2014.

During the workshop, John of God’s team of healers will lead guided meditation, prayer, testimonials, and silence that open the healing John of God offers. John of God will see individuals briefly, and suggest their next step toward healing.

After a visit with John of God, "Some say they have been cured of disease; others say that while a physical cure was not achieved, a spiritual or emotional healing was. Most say that their time spent in his presence was a profound and transformative experience."

The workshop is offered at $159.00 per day. For more information and to register, visit Omega Workshops.
