The television program Jeopardy is still popular among game show enthusiasts due to the provocative evolution of knowledge, which is growing ever stronger.

Canadian-American television personality Alex Trebek, 73, recently set the Guinness World Record for the most game show episodes ever hosted.

The renowned program will begin its 31st season in Sept. of 2014.

Since the show's syndicated launch in 1984, Trebek has remained host for 30 seasons -- without taking a single personal day. Trebek celebrated his 6,829th episode of Jeopardy during last Friday's episode.

At the moment, Trebek has yet to say anything about retirement. Regardless, this will not be Trebek's first award.

In the past, Trebek has been commended a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and received five Outstanding Game Show Host Emmy Awards.

In 1996, Trebek sprinted the Olympic Torch in Jacksonville, Florida, through a portion of its passage to Atlanta.

Trebek accepted the Royal Canadian Geographical Society's Gold Medal for his bestowal to geographic education on November 4, 2010.

It was announced in 2011 that Trebek would be one of the recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Daytime Emmy Awards.

Jeopardy also holds the almighty record for most Emmy awards won by a television game show: 29 between 1988 and 2011. Likewise, the program's producer Harry Friedman, at 37, holds the record for most game show nominations.

Trebek is a native of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. He became a naturalized United States citizen in 1998. Trebek has been espoused to Jean Currivan Trebek since 1990 and they share two children, Emily and Matthew.
