Scrapbook Paradise, formerly known as Treasured Memories Too, is hosting the third annual "Heart 2 Heart" fundraiser at the end of February. All funds raised will go directly to the Children's Miracle Network at Renown Medical Center in Reno, benefiting families right here in our community.

Last year, Heart 2 Heart raised $1,500 which went toward the new pediatric emergency room at Renown. The Children's Miracle Network in conjunction with the Renown Health Foundation used those funds to help construct the thoughtfully designed, kid-friendly ER that opened in July of 2009.

The goal of this year's fundraiser is $3,000, with the money going toward the renovation of the pediatric ward. Scrapbook Paradise owners JoElle and Karen are very passionate about the cause. Their desire is that the pediatric hospital rooms are updated to provide the same cheerful, family friendly atmosphere that is evident in the outstanding new children's emergency room. Such renovations would truly complement the skillful, attentive medical staff at the facility.

There are several ways you can help.

1. Bid in the silent auction. Stop by during store hours on Thursday, February 25th and Friday, February 26th to bid on an assortment of items including page layouts, cards, store display items, and class samples made by the talented Scrapbook Paradise teachers.

2. Make a cash donation. At any time during the month, make a tax deductible cash donation of $1, $5, or $20 and you will get a lace heart with your name (or your company's name) to add to the Heart 2 Heart garland that is beginning to fill the front windows.

3. Attend the Heart 2 Heart Crop-A-Thon. The fourteen hour crop will be held on Saturday, February 27th from 10:00am to midnight. The cost is just $20, with brunch and snacks included. All profits from the crop will be donated to the cause. To raise even more money, you can pick up a sponsor sheet at Scrapbook Paradise and get crop sponsors (like a walk-a-thon).
