Officials now say that two people, including the suspected gunman are dead after a hospital shooting that took place in Reno, Nev. on Dec. 17, 2013, according to the Chicago Tribune.
According to the report, a man walked into Renown Regional Medical Center on Tuesday afternoon at about 2:15 p.m. PT and began shooting.
According to KOLOTV, the alleged shooter’s body was found on the third floor of the medical facility.
The Associated Press reports that the gunman killed himself after opening fire in the Center for Advanced Medicine.
Angela Rambo, a spokesperson for Renown Health told the Tribune over the phone, “There was a shooting at Renown. We are working with the police; the area is secured, and that is all the information we have at this time.”
A witness to the shooting, Daranda Cone, told the Reno Gazette Journal she saw a woman covered in blood being rushed to the emergency room
KOLOTV reports that identities of the individuals involved have yet to be released and a motive behind the shooting has not been determined.
