Officials say one person is dead and four others have been injured in a hospital shooting that took place in Reno, Nev. on Dec. 17, 2013, according to NBC News.
The gunman was seen walking about Renown Regional Medical Center, however, the Nevada Emergency Management agency has tweeted he has been “neutralized,” NBC reports.
According to KOLOTV, there is no longer an “active shooter” involved in the situation, as police say he is dead.
The report indicates his body was found on the third floor of the medical facility.
The Associated Press reports that the gunman killed himself after opening fire in the Center for Advanced Medicine Tuesday afternoon.
Reno Police Dept. Dep. Chief Tom Robinson told the Reno Gazette Journal that the shooter was believed dead, and another person was in surgery
According to NBC, three other people were injured, but their status is currently unclear.
KOLOTV reports that identities of the individuals involved have yet to be released and a motive behind the shooting has not been determined.
