As we get older, it becomes very easy for holidays and special occasions to become " just another day," but that does not have to be the case. Sometimes it just takes a little work and effort to bring back some of the special memories and special feelings that the holidays bring to each one of us. We recently took our kids on a trip to New York City to see all of the sights and to see the city during this wonderful time of year. What a sight it was to see the amazement in their eyes as they looked up and saw all of the tall buildings, the decorated store fronts and lights as well as the crazy crowds that are such a part of NYC. We visted Rockefeller Center to see the huge Christmas tree and ice skaters and drank hot chocolate while we watched the crowds go around the rink.
We also took the kids to FAO Swarz, which is sure to bring the kid out in anyone that visits...what a wonderful toy store!!! We spent so much time wandering through the store and just to see how much the kids were enjoying themselves was truly special. After spending the time in such a grand place that truly embraces the the holiday season, it renewed a feeling of how truly special it is to make memories with your kids and that these will be times that they will never foget. Get out there and make some memories of your own!!! Happy Holidays!!!
