Renegades beat Diablos

 

The New Mexico Renegades shut out the visitng San Antonio Diablos on Friday night at Blades Multiplex Arena in Rio Rancho.

New Mexico, who has been mathematically eliminated from Western States Hockey League (WSHL) post season action, came together to blank the Diablos by a final score of 3-0.

Though San Antonio outshot the Renegades 42-25, New Mexico goaltender, Colton Ishmael, turned in a stellar performance to earn a shutout victory.  The Renegades scored three times on their 25 shots on net, picking up goals from Dan Bogdan, Daren Glover and Cody Miller.  Several Renegades earned assists in the game including newcomer Jonathan Voyles.  The teams combined for 53 penalty minutes in the three frames on Friday night.


The visitng San Antonio Diablos will face the Renegades again tonight at 7:30 PM at Blades Multiplex in Rio Rancho.
