Opera soprano Renee Fleming sang the national anthem at Super Bowl 2014. The stadium ran subtitles so the fans could sing along with the opera star. She finished in a reasonable time as 101st Airborne Apache attack helicopters, Chinooks and Blackhawks buzzed the stadium in New Jersey.
Fox news identified in graphics the 54 year old opera star known as a New Yorker not as an opera star but as a four-time Grammy winner. She wore a form fitting and extremely tasteful and elegant black coat dress that went up to her neck with a flowing white wrap, her blond shoulder length hair soft and loose. The video did not show her breath but one wonders how she did in the cold. Her low notes sounded powerful, brave and steadfast. She did sing in operatic style although she has a sultry pop rock album out called "Dark Hope". Speaking of which, so far the score in the first quarter is Seattle Seahawks 5, Denver Broncos 0.
