The Renaissance Blackstone Chicago is helping travelers enjoy a cultural weekend in Chicago this spring with a Picasso package including two tickets to the Art Institute of Chicago’s special Picasso exhibit. The world-renowned museum was the first major U.S. art museum to showcase the artist a century ago and this will be the first Picasso-focused exhibit at The Art Institute of Chicago in nearly three decades.

The Blackstone’s art collection includes cutting-edge new media art, contemporary photography, painting, and graphic works. The collection illuminates Chicago’s urban landscape and the Blackstone’s vibrant history with artwork by numerous Chicago-based artists.
Historically, the Blackstone Hotel exhibited local artists in its ornate fifth floor Art Hall and upon completion of its $128 million renovation in 2008, the property revived the tradition of rotating art exhibitions by showing artworks by local artists.
Available through May12, rates for the Picasso Package start at $199 per night, double occupancy and include two tickets to the Art Institute of Chicago’s Picasso exhibit, breakfast for two at the hotel’s onsite restaurant, Mercat a la Planxa, and valet parking.
