There is a renaissance if you will in America right now. What a beautiful time for us to be looking at home gifts again. Sure part of it is the economic factor; however it is nice that we all remember those days when we did make our own gifts. These are more than what we could buy. They were a part of us when given to another; not only something we had made but something that made us think of our friends and family.
This is news came to me from www.Parade.com/AmericanMade in our Sunday newspapers. We can each look back and make decision what would be nice to make for someone. This comes at a time in our lives when so many are faced with caring for a family member or friend with dementia. This maybe a way to include them in this holiday season; perhaps the dementia is at a point when it will be possible for our people to help us. There are so many ways to include others it seems almost overwhelming. Help with everything from some craft which may be remembered to helping identify members of family pictures taken long ago. From helping wrap to helping distribute, this is one time when from the ground up we can have some quality time and help from our loved ones. These gifts will mean so much to everyone when noticing the work and remembrance put in by each of us.
