It is quite annoying when you want to save a mason jar, glass food jar or container you stored food in and they can’t seem to get the sticker or label off without an ordeal.

Now that frustration is finally going to come to an end!

There is a simple trick to rid those labels and stickers as well as the glue residue off those jars and containers that will have you jumping for joy.

This is the recipe for success:

  • Baking soda
  • Vegetable oil

Directions:

  1. Add some vegetable oil into a small bowl and then add baking soda a little at a time until a thin paste forms.
  2. Layer up the sticker, label or glue residue and set the jar or container aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Take a paper towel and wipe off the mixture as well as the label, sticker and glue.
  4. Wash the jar or container with dish soap and hot water and let it air dry.

Viola! No more mess left on the outside of those jars you want to save or reuse again.
