Here's a friendly reminder to keep your eyes and ears glued to the monitor next week from September 19 to 27. It comes once a year: The Tokyo Game Show, otherwise known as TGS, and you have every right to be excited. Arguably bigger than E3 and Gamescom, here's the rundown on what to expect this coming week.
First things first: Next gen. The next generation of consoles is finally upon us. Yes, that means PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U exclusives out the wahzoo being shown off by their respective companies. Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft will all make an appearance and there will be press conferences galore. There have already been 181 companies confirmed to show at this year's event.
On the other end of the spectrum be sure to expect plenty of current gen games as well with appearances from Arc System Works (the makers of BlazBlue), Bethesda, Capcom, Square Enix, and more. Video game trailers make the world go round. Make sure not to miss a beat and be sure to check the official site HERE for more details when they arise.
Keep in mind that this is a Japanese event, so Japanese games tend to take the spotlight. But that doesn't mean the Western front is completely absent. We're sure to get a few new looks at Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4 as well, if that's your cup of tea.
Who knows, maybe we'll even get a new glimpse at The Last Guardian.
