Remembering the history and the best moments of the Beatles at the BBC

The latest episode of the Fab Fourum podcast, now available online, is a look back at the Beatles' appearance on BBC Radio. Rob Leonard, Tony Traguardo, Mitch Axelrod and Ken Michaels talk about all aspects of the broadcasts, including the history of the BBC sessions and the songs performed, many of which weren't released on their album releases. 

We remember first hearing about the BBC recordings in detail from an old newspaper series by writer Rip Rense in the now defunct Los Angeles Herald-Examiner (). Rense says he got the idea for the series after hearing some tracks at Beatlefest. 
 
Earlier this year, we wrote about how much we liked the BBC recordings and many of you responded that you loved them as well.

One of the intriguing questions in the podcast is why didn't the Beatles ask for copies of the BBC recordings? In today's legal world, that's almost astonishing.
