"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth," is wise advice from Ecclesiastes 12 :1 .It was given long ago by King Solomon. In I Kings 10:23-24, the Scripture says, "So King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart."
"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth", is actually a command from God. If possible, it is more important today than even in Solomon's time for young people to learn about their Creator while they are still young. Most of our public schools, as well as most media (television, movies, internet, books and magazines) today, promote the idea that all things have happened by a slow, chance process of evolution.
But this is not true at all. God specially created the world and all the different kinds of plants and animals. Most important of all, He created the first man and woman (Adam and Eve) directly, not by a long process of evolution from an ape-like ancestor, but simply by His own power (Genesis 1:26-28). He has even created an eternal soul for each one of us (evolution cannot do this) because He loves us and has a special purpose for each of us in the world.
This truth of special creation is plainly taught in God's Word, the Bible (KJV).It is also clearly taught in creation itself, and in all scientific facts which have been discovered about creation by scientists.
The Creation story in Genesis chapter one and two should encourage our hearts and minds to worship our Creator and believe His word. Here is a message from Isaiah 40:28-31, for the youth, young men and all of us that encourages us to go on for the Lord. "Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Some day soon when He comes again and your in that number, you will be able to hear the 24 elders (Revelation 4:10) say, "Thou are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." (Revelation 4:11)
