Justin Reiter is heading to the 2014 Sochi Olympics to compete, but the athlete isn’t your typical competitor. According to NBC Sports on Wednesday, the athlete was living in the back of his Toyota Tundra and will need to leave his truck behind to compete. The story behind his life and living in the truck is probably more popular than most athletes with typical lifestyles.
The Alpine snowboarder gained some fame last year when he shared that he was living out of his truck. Focusing on his sport and not so much on his lifestyle, the attention to his craft has paid off. Now Justin Reiter is on his way to Sochi and this is the first Olympic team the star has ever been on and he is one of the older athletes at age 32.
Justin Reiter is competing in a new event at the Sochi Olympics the parallel slalom. While the sporting world is learning more about the event, the man who is representing Team USA might easily capture the gold. Justin is the reigning world silver medalist and he definitely can perform under pressure. Since America has never won gold medal in Alpine snowboarding perhaps Reiter will make it happen.
While some might find Justin Reiter’s life strange, the athlete has proven he can adapt to any surrounding which will help him focus on the task of winning!
