Remedy’s Tavern is such a hit that there are now two locations in Henderson - one on the corner of Seven Hills Drive and St. Rose Parkway and the other off the I-95 and Wagon Wheel Drive. What makes these taverns so successful? The fact that it has everything a good local’s bar should have: good food, drinks and entertainment.
The taverns are open 24 hours a day and the kitchens never stop serving food. Monday through Friday Remedy’s offers a ‘Happy Breakfast Hour’ from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. with hearty breakfasts ranging from $2.99 to $4.99. Later in the day guests can enjoy food specials on appetizers from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday thru Saturday. The regular menu has everything from bar tapas, salads, chili, ‘freakin’ awesome burgers,’ and an impressive large plate menu including grilled salmon and wild mushroom raviolis. Want to drink? The bar is smoker friendly and Remedy’s has a large menu of beer ranging from Budweiser to Wyder’s Pear. They also offer specialty drinks such as the Remalicious (Ketel One Vodka, 3 Olives Cherry Vodka, crème de banana and Sierra Mist) and the Remedy’s Slippery When Wet (Ketel One Vodka, blueberry liqueur, watermelon liqueur and pineapple juice). Happy hour is Monday thru Fridays, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. with all domestic and well drinks only $2.
And now for the drunken entertainment (what I look for in a great bar). Remedy’s Tavern has hi-definition televisions with cushy chairs to watch sporting events, three billiard tables and video games (Golden Tee Live 2008 and Big Buck Hunter Pro). They also have an online jukebox that allows patrons to select their drinkin’ tunes. Remedy’s also has a gaming club where video poker enthusiasts can rack up points, win gaming cash and get rewarded on their birthdays. If gamers get a four of a kind on the card of the day, they get a chance to spin the wheel for an additional prize ranging from $10-$1000. Every day players can double their chances to win and spin during Gaming Happy Hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m and again from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m.
