Another clipper system will impact the region late today into tonight with some light snow. Behind the clipper, lake effect snow will impact western areas late tonight into Monday and the Lake Ontario band could reach into the Capital Region by Monday afternoon. It will remain chilly with below average temperatures to start the workweek.

Today – Partly sunny this morning with increasing clouds and a chance of light snow this afternoon. High 26-30. Winds north around 5 mph. Chance of snow 30 percent.

Tonight – Cloudy with light snow likely. Low 16-20. Winds west between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent. Snow accumulation around a coating to 1 inch, with up to 2 inches in the higher terrain.
Monday – Cloudy with a slight chance of snow showers in the morning, then becoming partly sunny and windy with a chance of snow showers late. High 25-29. Winds west between 15 and 20 mph, gusting up to 35 mph. Chance of snow 30 percent.
Monday Night – Partly cloudy and cold. Low 5-9. Winds west between 5 and 10 mph.
