Remaining cold as another clipper low approaches with light snow developing late (Photos)

Another clipper system will impact the region late today into tonight with some light snow. Behind the clipper, lake effect snow will impact western areas late tonight into Monday and the Lake Ontario band could reach into the Capital Region by Monday afternoon. It will remain chilly with below average temperatures to start the workweek.

Today – Partly sunny this morning with increasing clouds and a chance of light snow this afternoon. High 26-30. Winds north around 5 mph. Chance of snow 30 percent.

Normal High/Low: 32° / 15°

Tonight – Cloudy with light snow likely. Low 16-20. Winds west between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent. Snow accumulation around a coating to 1 inch, with up to 2 inches in the higher terrain.

Another clipper low will approach the region later this afternoon and evening, and will interact enough with a coastal low off Cape Cod to spread some light snows into the region.
