A recent review of various research studies provided some evidence of what many women know-- that acupuncture is very effective at treating pain from menstrual cramps. The research review looked at 27 studies and found that acupuncture was associated with reduction in pain.


Women who regularly experience problems like cramps, pain, bloating, mood swings, and migraines should see a practitioner of Oriental medicine. Acupuncture is one of many tools that can be utilized to improve the functioning of the body. When the body functions better, pain and other problems are decreased.


Regular acupuncture and other appropriate treatments can be very effective in the short and long term.
