There were several new concerts announced yesterday, including shows from Relient K, Chris Mann, and Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers. Here are more details about those shows, and several others added in the last few days.
First Fleet Concerts announced three more show for their Des Moines venue Wooly's yesterday. The biggest of those shows was Relient K. The Dove Award winners will play the East Village venue on Saturday, May 18, at 7 p.m. Hellogoodbye, William Beckett, and Mike Mains & The Branches will also be on the bill for the night. Tickets for the show will be $16.50 in advance and $19 the day of the show. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 15 at the Wooly's box office and online through Ticketfly. This will be an all ages concert.
First Fleet also announced that rockers Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers stop at Wooly's on May 23. The 8 p.m. show will also feature a performance by Paul Thorn. Tickets for the show are $20 in advance and $22 at the door. They may be purchased at Wooly's or through Ticketfly starting Friday at 10 a.m. This will be a 21-and-over concert.
The final Wooly's concert announced yesterday was a date for the Sin City post hardcore band Escape the Fate. Escape the Fate will play Wooly's on May 12, along with The Color Morale and Glamour of the Kill. Tickets for the all ages 7 p.m. show will be $15 in advance and $17 at the door. They will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Wooly's and Ticketfly.
Hoyt Sherman Place announced two new concerts over the last few days as well. Yesterday, the Des Moines venue announced that The Voice finalist Chris Mann will bring his nationwide tour to Hoyt Sherman on September 18 for a 7:30 p.m. performance. Reserved seats will be $37.50 for the classical pop singer's show, and no onsale date has been announced as of yet.
Big band leader Max Wellman will also grace the Hoyt Sherman stage. Wellman and his big band play the venue at 8 p.m. on March 23. Tickets to see the Des Moines product are $20 at the Hoyt Sherman box office, or $26.80 through Ticketmaster. Tina Haase Findlay of Bella Soul will also be prominently featured in this concert.
DG's Tap House added a number of shows to their schedule as well. Jon Wayne & The Pain will play the Ames venue on April 18 at 9 p.m. SOAP will be the opener, and this will be a 21-and-over show. Tickets are $10 and can be picked up through MidwesTix.
DG's has also booked the Grateful Dead tribute band The Schwag for a show on April 5 at 9 p.m. The 21-and-over show will have a $7 cover, and advanced tickets may be purchased online through MidwesTix.
The Candymakers and Thunder Blues will play DG's Tap House on March 23 at 9 p.m. Tickets for the 21-and-over show are $5, and they may be purchased at the door or through MidwesTix. Check out The Candymakers in action in the nearby video.
Finally, The Point announced a free show featuring 3 Pill Morning and The Blushing Gun on March 20 at 9 p.m. More details on this show will be announced in the coming days on The Point's Facebook page.
