The New York Mets have signed free agent pitcher Brandon Lyon.
His deal with the Mets is for the 2013 season. But official terms of his contract are not immediately known.

He was with the Detroit Tigers in 2009 after spending the 2005 through 2008 seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He did not pitch in the 2004 season.
