Working with Law of Attraction principles for even a short period of time, it’s simple enough to understand how we create our reality: we put out requests, either on purpose (using affirmations, vision boards, etc.) or by default, just by living life and preferring things to be this way rather than that way. Simple doesn’t translate to easy, however, and knowing that our thoughts create our reality doesn’t explain the dynamics of how manifestation works.
Every emotion indicates how close we are to the fulfillment of our desires because every preference has two sides to it. Focusing on the pure desire of having money might be accompanied by the thoughts of what will come with the money, like freedom, a nice home, or the opportunity to help others. On the other hand, focusing on the need for money is usually accompanied by stress, worry and, often, anger at the circumstances that have led to this point. Focusing on something leads to more of it; ergo, concentrating on the LACK of anything leads to more lack.
So how do you manifest what is wanted? The key is learning to shift focus from the lack to the having (whether you have it or not). This means that releasing the worry, anger, and other resistance is necessary. Some ways to do this include:
- Changing the subject – conversations, be they verbal, email or text, are bound to inflame your anger or feed your depression if you keep discussing and dissecting what you don’t want or what you want but don’t have yet. Talk/write about something else, something neutral or happy.
- Meditating or Praying –if done correctly, both practices will set you on course to lower your stress, help you to access your intuition, and feel more connected to your body.
- Playing – tell jokes, play with your pets or children, challenge yourself with a word game. Enjoy yourself and focus your mind on something that you like to do.
Manifestation is dependent on our being in a receiving mode (or a state of hopeful expectancy). All the methods above will help to put you in such a mode and will help you maintain awareness and clarity as you focus and shift, focus and shift, again and again.
