Another possible release date may have been leaked by an online retailer for the upcoming ports of "GTA 5" for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. According to a report from Digital Spy on July 25, Game Seeker posted that the new versions are slated to arrive on Nov. 7 of this year. All three versions of the latest installment of the "Grand Theft Auto" series were officially announced at last month's E3 2014 after years of rumors and speculations.
The company did not revealed a specific release date for the new ports. Instead, Rockstar Games provided a vague "Fall" launch window. The aforesaid Nov. 7 date will be on a Friday, which is usually the time of the week for publishers to release new video game products. However, "GTA 5" came out simultaneously in Europe and North America last year on Sept. 17, which was a Tuesday.
To compensate for the wait between the original launch with the upcoming ports, Rockstar North decided to make several improvements. The visuals got better as the development team is using the more powerful systems to add better textures, more foliage, faster frame rate along with a higher native resolution. The play area should also feature more depth as extra animals and vehicles are being added as well to the PS4, Xbox One and PC games. Finally, the studio is also allowing existing players to transfer their "GTA Online" characters on the PS3 and Xbox 360 to the new ports.
Rockstar North is also planning to release multiplayer heists and a new single-player DLC later this year as well. The company has not yet provided a time frame as to when both expansions are going to be made available. "GTA 5" on PS4, Xbox One and PC currently has no upgrade program where customers who already owned the PS3 or Xbox 360 version can buy to the new ports at a reduced price.
