A Danish shopping website may have revealed the "GTA 5" release date for PS4, Xbox One and PC. According to a report from Gameranx on July 11, Coolshop listed that the latest "Grand Theft Auto" video game is going to launch on Nov. 14. The PS4 version was the first one announced as an executive from Sony Computer Entertainment debuted the trailer at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. Rockstar Games would later confirmed that the same title is also heading to the Xbox One and PC platforms as well.
"GTA 5" is being enhanced for all three systems when compared to the PS3 and Xbox 360. The aforesaid trailer showed that the textures have been improved while the resolution got increased to 1080p. Rockstar North also decided to add more cars to the traffic and animals to the outskirts. Finally, PS3 and Xbox 360 players are able to transfer their "GTA Online" characters to the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions.
The video game already achieved record breaking success on the current-generation consoles with 33 million units sold so far in all regions. The development team also implemented a feature for customers to purchase in-game currency, generating huge digital revenues for Rockstar Games as well. Despite the big sales, a portion of the gaming community also decided to hold off on a purchase anticipating a release on the computer and next-generation platforms. After months of rumors and speculations, the publisher finally confirmed the ports at the aforesaid E3 2014 event.
Last year, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions came out on Sept. 17. The rumored Nov. 14 release date for PS4, Xbox One and PC ports is set on a Friday, which is the normal day of the week for a video game to launch in Europe. The North American region usually gets the same product three days earlier on Tuesday.
