September 13, 2011 is the scheduled release date for the new studio album, Worship Music, by Anthrax.
Highly anticipated in more ways than one, fans have been waiting a long time for this album to hit the streets. Not only has it been eight long years since the band has put out new music but Worship Music also marks the studio return of vocalist Joey Belladonna.
Originally scheduled to be released two years prior, Anthrax has traveled some pretty rocky roads in the past couple of years, but today they're still standing and seemingly more united than ever.
In a press release, Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante commented on the forthcoming album:
“I get goosebumps listening to the new music. Scott and Rob’s guitars are absolutely on fire, Frankie kicks butt on bass, and hearing Joey sing, well, the band sounds like Anthrax – Joey’s back and it’s great.”
Look for Worship Music in all major Chicago-area record stores September 13.
