Relaxing ideas for the days before your wedding

The days before your wedding can be some of the most stressful ones you will ever have, but they don’t have to be. In fact, it is really best that they not be, so that you aren’t a stressed out basket case when the big day arrives. There are certainly a lot of things that need to be done prior to your wedding day, but you should have as many of them finished as possible well before that final week. If there are still some tasks that need to be done, try the fine art of delegation, getting friends or family to see to the few things that are left to do. The following are several relaxing ideas for the days before your wedding.

*Spa Resort

There is certainly nothing like a trip to a spa resort to get the relaxation you deserve right before your wedding. From pedicures to massages to hair treatments and everything in between, you will find it at a nice spa resort. You will get pampered and preened over, and you will be certain to feel even more beautiful when you leave and head for the chapel. If a spa resort is out of the question, you can always go to a day spa, which is much more affordable, but still relaxing and beautifying.

*Weekend at the Water

Whether it’s the ocean, a river, a lake, or even a bubbling brook, there is just something relaxing and peaceful about being near the water. It is so refreshing and renewing for the body, soul, and mind that by the time you leave, you’ll feel like a new person, ready to take on the world.

*Three Day Cruise

A cruise doesn’t have to be long or cost a fortune for you to get the enormously relaxing benefits of it. Today, you can get tickets for a cruise for amazingly low prices, especially if you are buying your tickets at the last minute. Because of the economy, there are less people travelling, but those ships want to get the rooms booked, so they will offer huge last minute discounts. They also count on alcohol sales to make up a portion of the difference, so stay away from the bar as much as possible.

*Golf Weekend

If you enjoy the sport of golfing, there is little that can be more relaxing than a weekend at the links. Everything is kept up nicely, from the grounds to the lodgings, and you are able to meander along for nine or eighteen holes as much as you want to.

*Sports Events

Most men, and some women, love sports. If you are one of these people, grab a couple of your friends and head out to a live sporting event. You’ll get those endorphins going, which will release happy energy into your body, and get rid of the stress of wedding planning and pre-wedding jitters.

*Camping

If you are the outdoorsy type and your wedding is taking place in the warmer months, you can go on a camping trip for a few days. Being outdoors and feeling that connection with nature is so peaceful, and getting away from all of the technology of today is relaxing and enjoyable every now and again.

Rather than getting all stressed out about the last details of the wedding, you need to relax in these days. Relaxing can be done with your soon-to-be spouse, but it is even better to have some restful and fun times with friends, family, or even alone. You and your spouse will soon be together for a lifetime and when that happens, these people will often take a backseat to him or her, especially in the beginning, and you won’t have that time alone that you are accustomed to having, either. So, for those last few days, take advantage of the chance to do what you want, with whom you want, and just relax.
