People must learn how to manage and decrease stress in their lives. Uncontrolled stress can lead to depression and other health problems.
Here are ways to relax after a long day: read a magazine or book, exercise, listen to a funny comedian, walk, meditate, go bowling, attend yoga class, watch your favorite TV shows, watch your favorite sports team play, go to your favorite restaurant for dinner, surround yourself with positive people, listen to music, enjoy the Detroit Zoo, watch a good movie, visit the Charles H. Wright Museum and leave haters alone.
According to Dr. Daniel K. Hall-Flavin from Mayo Clinic, depression has many possible causes, likely related to genetics, brain chemicals and your life situation. Chronic stressful life situations can increase the risk of developing depression if you aren't coping with the stress well.
