Clevelanders have the opportunity to get a romantic getaway, indulge in some rich, decadent chocolate treats and take a spin on the dance floor all in the name of a good cause at the 20th annual Chocolate Extravaganza and Sweetheart Big Band Dance in Coshocton, Ohio on Saturday, February 9. It is approximately a 2.5 hour drive from Cleveland.
Chocolate Extravaganza With proceeds going to the Pomerene Center for the Arts in Coshocton, the Chocolate Extravaganza (taking place from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Coshocton County Career Center) will give visitors a chance to satisfy their sweet tooth with a plethora of chocolate treats like cakes, tortes, cheesecakes, mousses, candies and other chocolate desserts.
Free musical entertainment will be provided by The Wayfarers and there will also be Artist demonstrations by artist Friends of the Pomerene.
Advance tickets for the Chocolate Extravaganza are $8 per person. Tickets at the door on the day of the event are $10.
After you have had your fill of chocolate, you can then attend the Sweetheart Big Band Dance being held at the Lake Park Pavilion ( a 1930's restored Big Band Hall) from 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. Music will be provided by the Lake Park Big Band featuring the sounds of Sammy Kaye, Glenn Miller and other artists of the Big Band era.
Tickets for the Sweetheart Big Band Dance are $25 per person.
For those visitors wishing to stay overnight, the Coshocton Village Inn and Suites is offering a special Decadence - Dinner & Dance package.
