“Dirty Laundry” is tonight’s episode of “Reign.” To refresh your memory on what happened last time, click here. Be sure to check out the slideshow for more quotes from tonight's episode. “Reign” airs Thursday nights at 8 on the CW. Here’s the latest gossip at the castle:
Francis and Mary have returned from their two month honeymoon. Things are different now. They are married, and as such they still have trust issues and Bash issues. Bash returns to court and tells Mary about how the guards tried to kill him on Francis’ order. Poor Mary, what’s a girl to do? She does poke around a bit, trying to get answers. Francis finds out and gives her a talk. While he doesn’t say that he didn’t order the guards to kill Bash, he does say that trust is vital in a marriage.
There’s Something about Lola
Lola seems a little off. Her gown doesn’t fit. She no longer likes marzipan (although really, she should have never liked it in the first place. It’s gross). Lola is not her normal, cheerful self. Kenna figures out that Lola is pregnant! Aww come on, you had to have seen this coming. While Kenna is impressed that Lola managed to secure her spot as a royal mistress, Lola wants nothing to do with that. She even goes so far as to ask a servant about where she had her abortion done.
Olivia’s Gone Mad
Bash runs into a rabid Olivia out in the woods. She has been fed on, and according to his new hunter buddies Carrick and Rowan, Olivia has been chosen. The darkness has touched her, and therefore this has made her a bit crazy. This darkness being the beast that the Blood Cult worships in the wood. If you ask Nostradamus, he will say that there isn’t any darkness in the woods. Maybe Olivia stabbing the priest with his own crucifix will change Nostradamus’ mind. Either that or the warning that Olivia says that the darkness is coming.
Catherine and Henry are Bonding?
You heard me. They spend time together, and it is entertaining. Of course by time, I mean they conspire to make it look like Henry didn’t kill the Duchess of Bohemia by having sex in front of an open window. Some things never change in French court. Henry goes to seek aid from Catherine, seeing as how covering things up is Catherine’s specialty. The two of them manage to make it look like the Duchess threw herself off her own balcony, and they even wrote a suicide note to seal the deal. The downside? It turns out the Duchess never learned how to write. Oops. Thankfully Catherine blamed it all on the Duchess’ lover, the recently dead Priest, who had the misfortune of dying when Catherine interrogated him about the Duchess’ demise. I guess there is an upside to Crazy Olivia being at the castle after all.
Catherine: “All we have to do is get her to her chambers, and toss her out of a proper window.”
Mary: “Politics, backstabbing, murder, just another day at French court.”
Olivia: “The darkness. It’s coming, and it will take us all.”
