Rehab for McCready: Judge orders country music star to get treatment (Photos)

It’s rehab time for Mindy McCready, courtesy of a judge, according to a Feb. 6 E! News report. Three weeks after the death of her boyfriend, songwriter David Wilson, McCready, 37, is finally getting some help.

After her two sons were taken from her home by family services personnel, coupled with an emergency hearing on Feb. 6, a judge ordered that the troubled singer be committed to a treatment facility to address her ongoing mental and alcoholic issues.

“Family members sought to have Mindy committed to a mental-health facility and there was an emergency hearing today,” a source tells E! News. “They just got out of court a little while ago and the judge committed her for up to 21 days.” The source added, “Mindy needs to get help and we all care and love her and we want her to get the right help so she can move on.”

During the hearing, McCready reportedly admitted to indulging in excessive drinking in the aftermath of Wilson’s death. “David's death has truly been a struggle for her,” said the source.

Wilson reportedly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Jan. 13. McCready has denied having anything to do with the songwriter’s death. According to E! News, the investigation into Wilson's death remains open while authorities await autopsy results.
